The foundation's purpose is to provide occupational pension benefits within the framework of the BVG and its implementing provisions for the employees of the members of the fenaco cooperative (hereinafter referred to as "LANDI") and companies economically or financially closely related to them, as well as for their dependents and beneficiaries, against the economic consequences of old age, death, and disability. It may provide additional benefits beyond the statutory minimum benefits. By decision of the foundation board, companies that are financially or economically closely related to LANDI may also be affiliated with the foundation. The rights of the existing beneficiaries must not be impaired as a result. The affiliation of a related company is based on a written affiliation agreement. To achieve its purpose, the foundation may conclude insurance contracts or enter into existing contracts, where it is the policyholder and beneficiary.
