The foundation's purpose is to provide care for employees of both sexes in an employment relationship with the cooperative and their family members. This care can be provided: a) Through one-time or regular contributions to employees and their families or beneficiaries if they become unreasonably destitute for any reason. b) By enabling vacation stays for employees in need of rest, provided that these are ordered and supervised by a trusted doctor of the cooperative. c) By granting severance payments with a welfare character. d) By concluding life, health, or accident insurance policies for the benefit of individual or all employees of the founding company, or by the foundation entering into existing insurance contracts. The foundation must be the policyholder in all cases. e) By contributing to in-house welfare and insurance institutions, such as health insurance funds, death benefit funds, unemployment funds, and independent pension funds. No benefits may be provided from these foundation assets for which the cooperative is legally obligated or which it usually pays as compensation for services rendered (such as cost-of-living allowances, family allowances, bonuses, anniversary gifts, etc.).
