The purpose of the foundation is to provide for the employees of Angestellte Schweiz (Association of Swiss Employee Associations; hereinafter referred to as the Association) and their dependents against the economic consequences of old age, disability, death, illness, accident, unemployment, and unforseen hardship. The foundation's purpose can be fulfilled by: providing voluntary supplementary benefits in addition to the statutory pension benefits for old age, disability, and death; providing voluntary purchase benefits for the statutory pension scheme of employees; providing benefits to finance contributions and insurance premiums to other tax-exempt employee benefit institutions established for the benefit of the beneficiaries. However, the employer's contributions can only be made from the foundation's funds if the employer has previously accrued contribution reserves and these are separately disclosed (employer contribution reserves).
