The association is established within the framework of the European research project Horizon 2020 funded by the European Commission under the title Pilot-Line Providing Highly Advanced & Robust Manufacturing Technology for Optical Free-Form Micro-Structures (PHABULOuS Project). It pursues the following objectives: to implement the PHABULOuS project in accordance with grant agreement number 871710; to bring together research and technology organizations as well as European industrial partners around the creation of a pilot line for the design and manufacture of free-form micro-optical solutions; to test the effectiveness of the pilot line concept by validating pilot service requests within the framework of the PHABULOuS project implementation; to promote advanced photonic technologies and solutions and offer a single entry point (one-stop shop) to facilitate access to a global problem-solving competence for the entire production chain, which should continue beyond the PHABULOuS project; to represent the interests of the PHABULOuS pilot line community at national and international levels (for full purpose, see statutes).
