The foundation promotes cultural endeavors and projects, specifically in Central Switzerland and particularly in the canton of Obwalden. It can support other institutions with similar objectives, individuals or groups. Within the framework of 'cultural promotion', contemporary cultural projects are supported. Under the title 'cultural preservation', the effort to preserve worthy rural-agricultural building culture is promoted. The foundation can, for example, acquire historic buildings, restore them itself or develop a restoration concept up to and including building permits and sell objects. Any profit goes to the foundation. The foundation has a non-profit character and does not pursue any profit-making purposes.
