The foundation aims to promote basic medical research in Switzerland. A connection to the fields of anatomy (macroscopy, histology, cell biology, embryology) must be given. In pursuit of this purpose, the foundation can, with due regard to sustainability and quality, provide contributions to the financing of scholarships for young scientists, as well as salaries and material resources for research projects. The foundation board can entrust other institutions with the implementation of tasks that serve the foundation's purpose. The foundation acts in the general interest and without self-interest. It does not pursue commercial or self-help purposes, and is exclusively active for the public good through direct assistance/contributions to those affected and through services to institutions, corporations, and project sponsors.
