Ideal and material promotion of the Engelberg Monastery in its purpose of maintaining a cultural site of national importance in Engelberg, according to the Benedictine order's rules and on a Christian-humanist basis; advising and supporting the monastery in the execution of construction and monument preservation tasks; providing financial contributions to the maintenance of the boarding school and the training and further education of the teachers working there; assisting in the preservation and enhancement of its art treasures and library; taking further measures to strengthen the religious, cultural and ideological impact of the monastery and the affiliated educational institution in the public eye.
