The Foundation's purpose is: (i) to promote, manage and orchestrate ecosystems related to the Snapshot Protocol and/or other decentralized protocols ("Ecosystems"); (ii) to develop and promote technologies for the Ecosystems; (iii) to develop and promote the so-called Snapshot Protocol ("Snapshot Protocol") and/or other decentralized protocols ("decentralized protocols"); (iv) to develop and promote technologies and applications that build on the Snapshot Protocol and/or decentralized protocols; (v) to provide training and education in the field of Ecosystem technologies; (vi) to promote public awareness of the Ecosystems and the Snapshot Protocol as well as decentralized protocols. To this end, the Foundation may, in particular: support and finance suitable research and development activities as well as projects, companies, foundations, organizations and individuals; publicly promote and educate the Snapshot Protocol and decentralized protocols; take marketing measures; issue, receive, use and store digital information units (tokens) (no speculative trading activities); contact various companies, partners, banks, regulators, authorities or third parties for the benefit of the Ecosystems; expend received contributions and participate in companies; acquire, hold or grant trademark rights and other IP rights or licenses; organize conferences or other events that support and promote the Snapshot Protocol and decentralized protocols; host, manage and manage websites and interfaces; create sub-foundations; and conduct and promote all business and participate in all transactions, and generally take all actions that are necessary, appropriate, related or desirable to achieve or promote the goals described herein. The Foundation may create a uniform framework for communication to the Ecosystems. To this end, the Foundation may issue a communication concept in the form of a regulation. The concept may be changed at any time by a decision of the Foundation Board. The Foundation may also create an Internal Control System (ICS), which includes the framework for the Foundation and the Ecosystems during all project phases. The guiding principle for the ICS and the framework for the Ecosystems is the value creation interests of the network participants. The Foundation Board shall issue the ICS in the form of a separate regulation. The ICS may be changed at any time by a decision of the Foundation Board. The Foundation may also transfer the fulfillment of its tasks to other organizations, create and/or promote existing ones. The Foundation may fulfill its purpose through its own employees or outsource the fulfillment of tasks. The Foundation may participate in other companies and establish subsidiaries, foundations and sub-foundations in Switzerland and abroad. The Foundation does not have a commercial purpose and does not aim to make a profit. The Foundation may make profits, provided and to the extent that this is necessary for the financing of the project and the development of the innovation. Within the framework of its purpose, the Foundation may be active in Switzerland and abroad. The Founder reserves the right to change the purpose of the Foundation in accordance with Art. 86a of the Swiss Civil Code.
