a) to establish, acquire, maintain and administer industrial, commercial, retail and service companies existing under the laws of the Republic of Malawi or carrying out commercial activities in the Republic of Malawi, which are primarily, but not exclusively, active in the fields of oil, fuels and related products; b) to provide services and offer administrative, financial, technical, commercial and other support to controlled companies; c) to register and use patents and trademarks with licenses, know-how and intellectual property in general, and to trade in such rights; d) to be active in various goods, in particular oil, fuels and related products, both physically and through derivative products; e) and in general, to carry out all commercial, financial and industrial operations, including operations involving securities and real estate, related to the aforementioned objectives, and to establish branches in Switzerland and abroad; the company may provide financing directly or indirectly to companies of the same group or to third parties and grant guarantees for debts of such companies, including pledges or the transfer of the company's assets in trust or guarantees of all kinds.
