The association is an independent, non-profit organization that collaborates with multilateral organizations, the private sector, regulatory authorities, and communities worldwide. The association's goal is to promote the climate resilience of small-scale farming communities around the world by protecting their livelihoods from extreme weather events and other climate change hazards. This goal is achieved through parametric index-based remote sensing solutions provided through smart contracts on a blockchain, offering financial or other services to those who need them most. The association may: (a) participate directly or indirectly in all businesses and activities and (b) conduct all businesses and conclude contracts that promote or are related to its purpose. It may establish branches and representative offices, participate in companies, and establish subsidiaries. It may acquire, hold, encumber, and dispose of domestic, commercial, and foreign real estate, provided that it does not engage in transactions prohibited by the Federal Act on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Persons Abroad (BewG). It may develop, acquire, hold, and dispose of intellectual property rights or industrial property rights, as well as acquire or grant licenses for such rights.
