RISC-V International Association

The purpose of the association is to promote and develop free and open-source hardware and software technologies and applications for use on computer systems, with a focus on the development and implementation of a free and open RISC-V instruction set architecture (ISA). The association pursues a non-profit, non-financial, non-self-serving, and non-commercial purpose. To this end, the association may, among other things, promote and finance research and development initiatives and other activities, and participate in other companies or cooperations that are aligned with the main purpose. The association may delegate any of its tasks or goals to other organizations and institutions and finance and support other organizations and institutions that promote free and open hardware and software.
