The purpose of the association is to promote and disseminate the ideas and goals of Rotary International in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein for the benefit of Rotary and Rotaract members as well as the general public. The association operates suitable communication channels (e.g. websites, newsletters, social media) and publishes, in particular, a periodically appearing magazine (Rotary Magazine) in paper and/or digital form. It also operates a service center to support administrative processes in the districts and clubs and serves as the central point of contact for member inquiries. The association provides a modern web platform (called POLARIS) as an integrated IT solution for collaboration, communication, and information exchange within the Rotary community at home and abroad. It is responsible for operating, maintaining, and continuously developing POLARIS. Through POLARIS, a club and district management system as well as websites are operated and events are organized at the club and district level. The association operates a commercially managed business and is authorized to conclude all legal transactions that serve the pursuit and realization of its purpose within the framework of managing its assets. It can also provide services for Rotary or organizations closely related to the VRS.
