The founder's intention is to support non-profit and cultural institutions and organizations with her estate. In doing so, projects in the canton of Bern should be given special consideration, but not exclusively. Supporting projects in the rest of Switzerland and abroad is also possible. Furthermore, the foundation should be able to provide direct assistance to individuals in special need. The foundation's purpose is, in particular, but not exclusively: to provide assistance to mentally disabled people, especially for their integration (e.g. sheltered workshops, homes, etc.); to provide assistance to families with disabled children (e.g. by enabling them to take vacations in specially equipped vacation homes); to promote further projects for disabled people; to promote projects of cultural institutions; to promote projects for young visual artists; to promote non-commercial research projects in the healthcare sector; to promote further non-commercial, non-profit research projects; to provide direct support to individuals in special need; for this purpose, the foundation may assume costs for acquisitions by institutions and corporations active in the aforementioned areas or provide them with cash and/or assets. The foundation may acquire or sell real estate and enter into all transactions and conclude contracts that are suitable to promote the purpose of the foundation.
