The company's purpose is to engage in trade in general (in particular import and export, purchase and sale) of leather goods and textiles, clothing, footwear and various accessories, tiles, ceramics, furniture and various objects, as well as the management and commercialization of intangible rights (trademarks, licenses, patents, etc.). The company is also authorized to acquire, encumber, manage, administer and sell real estate, as well as to participate in real estate companies and enterprises; however, real estate in Switzerland or participations in real estate companies and enterprises with real estate in Switzerland may only be acquired (without LAFE approval procedure) on the condition that the real estate is intended for the exercise of an economic activity pursuant to Art. 2 para. 2 lit. a) LAFE. The company may establish branches and subsidiaries, acquire interests and participations in other companies, both in Switzerland and abroad, as well as engage in all commercial, financial or other activities that are directly or indirectly related to the company's purpose.
