The Swiss umbrella organization PAT SDV PAT, hereinafter referred to as the Association, safeguards and promotes the interests of publicly and privately organized specialist agencies that accompany, educate and support families in psychosocially challenging situations before birth and during the first years of life with the early childhood support and home visiting program 'PAT - Learning with Parents'. It is committed to improving living conditions for families under stress in early childhood, particularly for access to PAT early childhood support for families in stressful situations throughout Switzerland. The Association aims to protect the interests of its members. It seeks to achieve its goal by: 1. representing the interests of its members regarding the PAT program at the Swiss level with authorities, in the professional world and in public opinion, 2. conducting and concluding negotiations with tariff partners for its members, in particular with PAT NC USA and granting sub-licenses to specialist agencies in Switzerland, 3. adapting the PAT materials to the Swiss conditions in cooperation with PAT NC USA and making them available in the national languages (German, French, Italian and Romansh) in which PAT is implemented or planned (currently German, Italian and Romansh), 4. leading national communication to promote and develop PAT sponsorships, 5. seeking connections with similar organizations in Switzerland and abroad on important issues, 6. developing quality criteria for PAT sponsorships and supporting its members in quality assurance, 7. supporting the transfer of knowledge among existing and emerging PAT sponsorships in Switzerland.
