The foundation promotes Swiss musical life by supporting and promoting professional musicians; it promotes professional succession and combats unemployment among professional musicians; it can provide support services to professional musicians in need and their dependents. The foundation represents the interests of professional musicians vis-à-vis state and private institutions that pursue the same goals as the foundation and coordinates the use of available resources.
