To promote and ensure the post-operative care of living organ donors throughout Switzerland, as stipulated in the Federal Act on the Transplantation of Organs, Tissues and Cells (Transplantation Act) of 8 October 2004, particularly in financial terms. To this end, it operates the Swiss Organ Living Donor Health Registry (SOL-DHR). This specifically involves the post-operative care of donors of kidneys or parts of the liver, as well as other solid organs that may be considered in the future, such as lung lobes, parts of the pancreas or small intestine. The foundation is to manage funds made available for the post-operative care of living organ donations and use them for the medical post-operative care of living organ donors with minimal expense.
