The club Schwimmclub Aarefisch, Aarau promotes and supports regional, national, and international swimming sports in the specialist areas of swimming and diving (elite and mass sport development). It can offer and promote additional sports to its members, including multisport sports, related to swimming. It operates a swimming school. It is a founding member and supporter of the Argovia Aquatics Center (AAC), which, in line with the guidelines of Swiss Swimming and Swiss Olympics, prepares athletes for a national and international swimming career. For this purpose, it can participate in an operating company of the AAC, acquire or establish an operating company. It advocates for a healthy, respectful, fair, and successful sport. It exemplifies fair play by treating others with respect, acting and communicating transparently. It and its members commit, upon joining, to recognizing the Ethics Statute of Swiss Sports, the Code of Ethics of World Aquatics, and the Statutes and Regulations of the SSCHV. The club can join other associations and organizations, particularly in the sports sector, to fulfill its purpose. It is a member of the Swiss Swimming Association (SSCHV), the Cantonal Swimming Association of Aargau, and the Regional Swimming Association of Central Switzerland West (RZW).
