The cooperative aims, through mutual self-help and for the benefit of its members, to promote and realize installations for the generation, storage, and local use of renewable energy, as well as surplus energy from the power grid. In doing so, it wants to ensure that as many such energy systems can be afforded as possible. This also applies to energy-saving measures. The cooperative can create, operate, and maintain photovoltaic and other energy generation and distribution systems, as well as energy storage systems, lease (roof) surfaces for the installation of photovoltaic and other systems, and carry out all commercial, financial, and other activities that are related to the purpose of the cooperative or are suitable to promote it. The cooperative can establish branches, participate in other enterprises at home and abroad, acquire or merge with similar or related enterprises, as well as acquire, dispose of, and encumber real estate. The cooperative can offer products, consultations, and other services in the fields of renewable energies, as well as energy and resource efficiency, to third parties. It can, in particular, also support and advise self-builders. The cooperative can conduct research & development that serves the purpose of the cooperative.
