The foundation pursues the following purposes: 1. Supporting and promoting access to art, supporting and promoting access to art for all people in Switzerland and in other countries, regardless of their economic status, origin, abilities or other factors. This includes subsidized or free access to museums, theaters, concerts, art courses and other art events and venues. 2. Promoting exhibitions, events and exchange programs, promoting art and artists from Switzerland and other countries around the world through exhibitions, events and cultural exchange programs. 3. Promoting artistic creation, providing grants for individual artists, art organizations and art projects in Switzerland and in other countries. This includes financing the creation of new works, exhibitions, art materials, educational programs and other artistic activities. 4. Acquisition and maintenance of art collections, acquiring and maintaining art collections from Switzerland and other countries. This includes works of all forms and epochs, to make them accessible to the public. 5. Financial support for artists and artistic craftsmen, providing financial support to artists and artistic craftsmen in Switzerland and in other countries for residencies, workspaces, materials and advertising for their work. 6. Art education, promoting art education and appreciation of art among young people and citizens of Switzerland and other countries. This includes financing art programs and equipment in schools, organizing excursions and visits where students can experience art, as well as supporting public art institutions and events. 7. Preservation and promotion of cultural heritage, preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of Switzerland and other countries by supporting traditional and folk art in Switzerland and in other countries. This includes financing projects in the fields of painting, sculpture, music, dance and crafts in Switzerland and in other countries. The foundation has no profit-making or self-help purpose and does not strive for profit.
