The foundation aims to preserve the work of the artist Shizuko Yoshikawa and to keep her name and that of Josef Müller-Brockmann alive beyond her passing by: 1. during the artist's lifetime, organizing her work and creating a catalog of her works, making it accessible in a suitable manner within the framework of the artist's archive or entrusting it to a public institution for accessibility. 2. publishing a monograph representative of the artist's life and work. 3. after the artist's passing, managing, storing, maintaining, and utilizing her estate in a professional manner. 4. promoting the dissemination and recognition of the artist's work by offering and lending works or groups of works to leading institutions, museums, and collections in Switzerland, Germany, Japan, and other countries. 5. exhibiting the works in solo and group exhibitions both domestically and abroad. 6. establishing the periodic and alternating award of a 'Shizuko Yoshikawa Prize for Young Female Artists' and a 'Josef Müller-Brockmann Prize for Young Designers'.
