The foundation aims to: Facilitate vocational training and promote further education and training of active employees as well as children of active and retired employees of the SIG Group who are suitable in terms of character and aptitude and whose parents are not financially able to bear the costs or for whom bearing these costs would represent a relatively significant burden; Support part-time students who have concluded a part-time employment contract with a SIG company in Switzerland and are suitable in terms of character and aptitude and for whom the reduced working hours would represent a relatively significant financial burden; Co-finance a language stay for non-reemployed SIG apprentices in Switzerland who are suitable in terms of character and aptitude; Support SIG apprentices in Switzerland who wish to pursue a vocational baccalaureate (BMS) shortly after completing their apprenticeship and are suitable in terms of character and aptitude; Support training institutions based in the canton of Schaffhausen for technical and industrial vocational training in the Schaffhausen region.
