SimBioSis

The association aims to support and implement ecological projects in the fields of agriculture, architecture and engineering by supporting other associations with similar goals and developing its own projects from both a productive and educational perspective. The association acts in accordance with the Charter of Principles and Objectives adopted by the Federation of NGOs of Italian Switzerland. Agroecology involves the application of ecological principles to agricultural production systems for food, fuel, fibers and medicines, both on a small scale such as self-production and on a large scale, in order to preserve or rebuild the balance of agroecosystems. Bio-building or bio-architecture refers to the way of designing, building and managing buildings in line with the principles of environmental sustainability, integrating the use of local natural materials to best manage atmospheric events. The association aims to create productive and educational units in the agricultural sector to increase food and medicinal self-production (medicinal plants) and, more generally, to raise awareness about the importance of an eco-sustainable and durable lifestyle. To this end, conferences, debates, seminars and information campaigns are organized. The bee, a symbol of the association, is an important element in the agroecosystem balance that has been too long forgotten by farmers; the association, through its projects, aims to reintroduce this element into production systems through targeted projects to develop beekeeping as a means of direct and indirect production thanks to pollination.
