The Casa di Riposo San Giuseppe foundation, Opera Don Guanella, excludes any profit-making purpose. Its aim is to enable the members of the Congregation of the Daughters of Santa Maria della Provvidenza in Rome to operate in favour of people in need of care, assistance or support, residing or domiciled in the Canton of Ticino, and others not excluded if circumstances permit, without distinction of religion, nationality, age and sex. This mission is expressed in particular through the reception in a protected environment of elderly people with disabilities, partially or completely non-self-sufficient. In accordance with the principles of the Founder of the Congregation of the Daughters of S. Maria della Provvidenza, the foundation also aims to recognize and defend the invaluable value of the person, at every moment and in any condition of life, excluding any form of euthanasia and assisted suicide.
