The cooperative aims to create and maintain, through joint action and shared responsibility, modern housing at affordable prices while minimizing their environmental impact, with the exception of operations prohibited in Switzerland by the Federal Act on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Foreigners (LFAIE). It strives to offer spaces adapted to the entire population. It encourages living together and solidarity. The cooperative's activity is of public utility and does not pursue any profit-making purpose. The cooperative seeks to achieve this goal by: a. acquiring building land and superficies rights; b. constructing and acquiring buildings that meet the needs of its members; c. continuously maintaining and periodically renovating existing buildings; d. building new buildings to replace existing ones when they can no longer be renovated in an economically and sustainably viable manner; e. using incentives in accordance with federal housing law or corresponding cantonal and communal laws; f. administering and renting out housing at cost-covering rents; g. promoting cooperative activities in urban areas; h. providing conceptual and material support for initiatives aimed at affordable and sustainable housing. The cooperative may offer commercial premises in its buildings. The cooperative may participate in companies and organizations with similar objectives. It may be a member of Swiss housing cooperatives, the federation of public utility contractors.
