The improvement of crops in general and more particularly the cultivation of cereals, legumes, root crops and other large-scale crops, by the propagation of high-quality seeds. Purchase of seeds from selections made in the country or abroad; monitoring and inspection of crops from selected seeds; cleaning, sorting and sale of seeds on behalf of members with guarantees of authenticity, purity and germination capacity; general improvement of crops (soil preparation, fertilization, sowing, harvesting and seed conservation); testing and introduction of new machines and tools for cultivation. The cooperative is subject to Article 20 of the DFE Ordinance on Seeds and Planting Material of the Federal Office for Agriculture regarding the monitoring of seed trade and the control of the Federal Seed Testing Station of the Agroscope Reckenholz-Tänikon ART Research Station. Furthermore, it collaborates with this institution in its crop trials and other efforts related to crop improvement.
