The cooperative aims to create and maintain affordable housing for its members, through shared action and responsibility, in the form of communal living by creating individual rooms in shared apartments. It strives to offer both individual and communal living spaces within the same housing. It encourages communal living in a spirit of social responsibility, ecological commitment, and mutual solidarity. The cooperative can offer spaces in its buildings dedicated to artistic creations. It seeks to achieve this goal by:
a) The construction, acquisition, and, if necessary, renovation of buildings corresponding to the cooperative's housing needs.
b) Continuous and careful maintenance of all properties and periodic renovation of existing buildings;
c) The use of incentives in accordance with the federal housing law or corresponding cantonal and municipal laws;
d) The administration and rental of housing based on moderate rents;
e) The promotion of activities that foster human relationships in the housing;
f) The support of initiatives by its members aimed at animating the cultural life of the region;
g) The promotion of an ecological and civic awareness, both individual and collective. By encouraging renovations and improvements aimed at energy savings; By using, as far as possible, materials respectful of the environment; By taking into account ecological aspects when choosing the location and construction and maintenance solutions; By promoting a sharing of goods and equipment while respecting the private spheres of each of its members.
The cooperative's activity is of public utility and does not aim for profits. The cooperative can participate in enterprises and organizations with the same objectives or similar purposes. It can be a member of Swiss housing cooperatives, the federation of public utility developers.
