The foundation pursues the promotion of assisted living for mentally or physically disabled people in the public interest of Switzerland and the canton of Zurich by providing suitable housing. The foundation can acquire properties. It does not pursue any commercial or self-help purposes. When providing housing on foundation-owned properties, attention is paid to mixing housing for disabled and non-disabled people (integrated living). As a rule, at least half of the housing on a foundation-owned property should serve the assisted living of disabled people and their caregivers; the living space of the caregivers should not be larger than the living space of the disabled people. The areas that do not serve the assisted living of disabled people and their caregivers should be used as commercial spaces or as housing for non-disabled people. The foundation can charge rents. The rents are used for the maintenance of the foundation's own properties and for the foundation's other purposes. The business premises and the housing that does not serve the assisted living of disabled people and their caregivers are rented out at market conditions.
