Conservation and promotion of the protected forest reserve in the Born/Ruttigen area. The forest reserve, covering an area of approximately 37.1 ha, was designated and placed under protection by Government Council decision No. 434 of 04.02.1994. Promotion and support of efforts to conserve nature in the Ruttiger Weid area. Particular importance is attached to traditional, near-natural management, which contributes to the preservation of habitats of indigenous, partly endangered species of animals and plants. Support for further efforts to conserve nature in the entire Born area. The foundation works closely with landowners and the authorities of the city of Olten and the canton of Solothurn.
