The foundation is an observatory of the digital space for the benefit of political, economic and academic decision-makers, offering them analyses, consulting and training. It contributes to the public and political dialogue in Switzerland on the security and progress of the digitized society. The foundation carries out its activities through its own projects, through grants and by financing or co-financing selected projects of third parties. It can collaborate with third parties to promote the foundation's purpose, delegate tasks to third parties and take on additional tasks related to the theme of security policy in the age of digital mutation. The foundation does not pursue any commercial purposes and does not strive for profit.
