The foundation encompasses the spiritual and material legacy of Walter and Christine Clénin and is committed to its permanent preservation. Its physical center is the "Johanneshof" house on the Festi, including all works of art. It maintains and cares for the house, the surroundings, and the works of art to the best of its financial abilities and in consultation with all accessible professional expertise (architecture, art, culture, theology). It shares the house and art treasures with the public to the extent that it is feasible and responsible, and provides opportunities for encounters in all suitable forms (e.g., exhibitions, devotions, reflection periods, discussion groups, musical performances, conferences, lectures, presentations, workshops). It remains attentive to art, Christian spirituality, and all connections between the two in the village, region, and world. It promotes corresponding focal points, such as the church and the Aarbergerhus in Ligerz, and is open to further cooperation in the light of its principles. Within its material means, it supports people in their artistic and spiritual development (providing favorable living and working space, scholarships, and other forms of support). The foundation exclusively pursues non-profit purposes, is not profit-driven, and has no commercial purpose.
