The foundation aims to preserve the art and antique collection of Dr. Stephan Gottet, insofar as it concerns archaeological cultural assets of Europe, from the archaic period to the classical antiquity of Greece and Italy and generally the Mediterranean region to the late antiquity, make it available for research and, if possible, present it to the public. The entirety of the donated cultural assets is to be withdrawn from the art market for all time. The entire inventory is to be inventoried and, if possible, scientifically documented, in order to be made available to research in an orderly manner and, if possible, made accessible to the public for viewing in a suitable way. Parts of the inventory can be temporarily or permanently transferred to institutions with a similar purpose as loans or gifts for these purposes. In the case of donations, the institutions in question must be able to demonstrate that they are able to fulfill the purpose of the foundation equally or even better than the foundation itself. The foundation's profits and capital are exclusively dedicated to the aforementioned purpose. The foundation does not pursue any commercial purpose.
