The foundation's primary purpose is (i) to promote the LUKSO ecosystem, and (ii) to develop and maintain the LUKSO blockchain technology (in particular, the LUKSO protocol and the LUKSO blockchain) and related technologies, and secondarily to support the development of technologies for the communication and creative economies. To this end, the foundation may, among other things, support and finance suitable research and development activities, including but not limited to open-source and proprietary software, tools, and other resources; support and finance other activities that are useful for the development of the LUKSO ecosystem; finance other projects; invest in other companies or foundations; publicly promote the LUKSO protocol and provide training (in particular, organize and support training sessions, hackathons, conferences, and the like); create and make available training materials such as technical descriptions; issue, receive, exchange, use, and store digital information units (tokens); contact various companies, partners, banks, regulators, authorities, or other third parties for the benefit of the LUKSO ecosystem; manage, distribute, and expend received contributions; participate in companies; commission outsourcing partners; acquire, hold, or grant brand rights and other IP rights or license rights; organize conferences or other events that support and promote LUKSO protocols and related technologies; host, manage, and maintain websites and interfaces; create sub-foundations; market the LUKSO protocol to companies, developers, users, and other partners and conduct marketing campaigns (e.g., airdrops, grants, etc.); and conduct and promote all business and participate in all transactions, and generally take all actions that are necessary, appropriate, related, or desirable to achieve or promote the goals described herein. The foundation may create a uniform framework for communication with the LUKSO ecosystem. To this end, the foundation may issue a communication concept in the form of a regulation. The concept may be changed at any time by a decision of the foundation board. The foundation may also create an internal control system (IKS) that covers the framework for the foundation and the LUKSO ecosystem during all project phases. The guiding principle for the IKS and the framework for the LUKSO ecosystem is the value creation interests of the network participants. The foundation board shall issue the IKS in the form of a separate regulation. The IKS may be changed at any time by a decision of the foundation board. The foundation may also transfer the fulfillment of its tasks to other organizations, create such organizations, and/or promote existing ones. The foundation may fulfill its purpose through its own employees, with the subsidiaries it has founded, or outsource the fulfillment to outsourcing partners. The foundation may participate in other companies and establish subsidiaries in Switzerland and abroad. The foundation does not have a commercial purpose and does not aim to make a profit. The foundation may generate revenue and profits to the extent necessary for the achievement of its purpose. Within the scope of its purpose, the foundation may be active in Switzerland and abroad.
