Support for local artists or their relatives in case of illness, old age or unearned loss of income. First and foremost, consideration is given to citizens of Basel, regardless of their place of residence; secondly, Swiss citizens residing here, exceptionally also foreign artists who have been resident in Basel for a longer period of time.
