The foundation supports museums, primarily in Basel, in the research, curatorial processing and conservation of artisanal objects from the 18th and 19th centuries, particularly textiles, accessories, jewelry, ceramics, glass, furniture, metal and goldsmithing objects. Specifically, it promotes: publications on collection holdings, restoration and documentary measures, purchases of artisanal objects and depot furniture, acquisitions of specialist literature, further training measures for curators and restorers in the field of textiles and accessories, special and permanent exhibitions on topics of artisanal crafts. Construction measures are not funded. The foundation can also support other German-speaking institutions in realizing selected projects within the framework described above. The foundation is non-profit, does not pursue any commercial purpose and does not strive for profit.
