The foundation aims to create, provide and manage affordable housing, primarily in the city of Zurich. It can also operate in the rest of the canton of Zurich. In all its projects, the foundation strives for maximum transparency towards the public housing authorities involved. Within the framework of its purpose, the foundation can acquire and sell land and properties, build, renovate and maintain residential buildings, conclude building rights and rental agreements, and take out mortgages. It can also support third-party projects in the same field of purpose and take measures to raise awareness among a broader public about the need for housing promotion and non-profit housing construction. Further activities to fulfill the purpose are possible, such as creating a fund for financially weak tenants.
