The foundation manages, uses and disposes of the assets that are transferred to it by the founders and any third parties through inheritance. It becomes active only when inherited assets have been transferred. The foundation's primary purpose is to preserve the property at Leimgrubenstrasse 51 in Konolfingen, which will be transferred to it through inheritance, including the surrounding area, namely the diverse garden certified by 'Bioterra'. By transferring the property to the foundation, it is removed from real estate speculation. A new building can only be constructed for compelling reasons and must meet ecological requirements and the local landscape characteristics. The garden must be managed biologically and should have the greatest possible ecological diversity. The foundation's secondary purpose is to promote, finance and support ecological projects and institutions in the Konolfingen area and its surroundings. In particular, the promotion of biodiversity, ecological agriculture, and the planting of trees and hedges, natural gardens, networking of biotopes, and similar projects are planned. The surviving founder is granted a right of residence (dwelling right) in the house at Leimgrubenstrasse 51 in Konolfingen. Otherwise, this property is rented to tenants who are willing to serve the foundation's purpose. The foundation board will establish a regulation for this purpose. The foundation can acquire, develop or sell properties, as well as enter into any business and conclude contracts that are suitable for promoting the purpose of the foundation or are directly or indirectly related to it. The foundation has a non-profit character and does not pursue any commercial purpose.
