The non-profit HOPE Hospice Oberwallis foundation aims to establish, develop, operate and maintain a hospice institution in the Upper Valais region, as a "Social Medical Institution in the Long-term Care Sector with a Specialized Palliative Care Mandate" in accordance with the concept "Care Structures for Specialized Palliative Care in Switzerland" by palliative.ch and its national partners. The institution aims to provide a dignified end-of-life experience for terminally ill and dying individuals over the age of 18, through loving and individualized care and support that also includes their relatives and loved ones. The hospice accepts patients regardless of their social background and faith. Furthermore, the foundation promotes the training and education of volunteer hospice caregivers. The institution does not support active euthanasia on its premises. The foundation may acquire, encumber, sell and manage real estate within the scope of its purpose. The foundation is not-for-profit and does not pursue any commercial goals. The foundation is politically and denominationally neutral. The founder reserves the right to change the purpose of the foundation in the future, as per Article 86a of the Swiss Civil Code. The foundation may take all measures necessary to maintain the foundation and achieve its purpose, such as collecting funds, organizing events, etc.
