The foundation's purpose is to be active in the social, educational and socio-cultural environment within the municipality of Schwändi, within the boundaries existing at the time of its establishment. The foundation may, in particular: a) provide contributions in the areas of education and social welfare, provided that sufficient other means are not available and there is a need; b) support the activities of associations, as well as the organization of exhibitions, concerts, etc. or the establishment of libraries or collections through contributions or in other ways; c) support church life, whether through contributions to church services or other events, or for acquisitions, or for the promotion of the church's pastoral and social tasks; d) make grants to individuals and families in Schwändi who are in a situation of need and require support in medical, pastoral, educational or other areas; e) provide training contributions; f) support activities that promote village life. Any change to the purpose of the foundation is subject to approval by the competent cantonal authority in accordance with Article 86a of the Swiss Civil Code.
