Stiftung Jodlerdorf Ausserberg

To cultivate, promote and preserve folk music, particularly folk songs, yodeling and alphorn playing, and to keep the compositional works and legacy of Felix, Arthur and Lukas Schmid alive. The typical Valais yodeling is to be promoted and preserved through competitions, concerts and composition commissions. An inventory of the poetic and compositional works is to be established in an archive. At regular intervals, a memorial is held, during which the works of the aforementioned composers are performed in their original or adapted form. The association pursues purely cultural and idealistic goals.
