The foundation aims to preserve historic hydroelectric power plants. It promotes their restoration, operational capability and public presentation as technical-historical demonstration objects. The premises of the hydroelectric power plants can also be used for tourist activities, exhibitions and events of all kinds. The foundation can also acquire, maintain and make publicly accessible other industrial or tourist cultural assets. The foundation can become active itself in the mentioned areas or provide grants to other institutions with the same or similar purpose. The foundation operates within the scope of its purpose both domestically and abroad. The foundation has an exclusively non-profit character. It does not pursue any commercial purpose and does not strive for profit. It acts selflessly in the public interest.
