Commits to ecologically valuable flora and fauna in the Rappentobel; objectives are in particular: establishment and maintenance of a nature reserve forest; silviculturally-scientific investigations; preservation of habitats of protected plants and animals; promotion of the natural development of native flora and fauna; reduction of coniferous forest stands in favor of a site-specific, species-rich deciduous mixed forest; promotion of the formation of old and dead wood; keeping of reed areas open; promotion of a species-rich forest edge vegetation; consulting of owners who manage their forest in a nature-friendly way; acquisition and establishment of easements in ecologically interesting areas; scientific supervision of the designated areas.
