The foundation aims to support the canton of Bern in enforcing the protection order of the canton's economic directorate of April 9, 2009, in the nature reserve of Lake Grosser Moossee. This includes preserving a typical midland small lake as a relic of the Ice Age, maintaining the natural shoreline areas as a habitat for characteristic animal and plant species, promoting shoreline vegetation, amphibians, and selected bird species, and creating a permanently used extensive agricultural green strip as a buffer zone to the lake and as a natural partial habitat, especially for insects and birds. The foundation steers and coordinates the various uses around Lake Moossee within the framework of the superior law and in the public interest. It can operate a ranger service and conduct guided tours and information events for the public. It ensures that fishing in Lake Moossee is preserved, develops sustainably, and remains publicly accessible. It agrees with the Moossee Fishing Club on the necessary services. The foundation can conduct all business suitable for achieving its goals; it can employ staff, acquire real estate, raise all types of external funds, purchase goods, apply for and receive private or public subsidies, conclude contracts, and provide related services to third parties. The foundation can hold participations in other companies. The foundation operates within the canton of Bern, within the framework of its purpose. The foundation has a non-profit character and does not pursue any commercial purposes. The foundation's profits and capital are exclusively dedicated to the aforementioned purpose.
