The foundation aims to revitalize and renaturize lake landscapes in the Swiss Inner Alps, as well as their tributaries, and to implement further ecological enhancement measures in this region. The foundation's goal is to create and preserve a natural diversity of habitats for animals and plants, as well as to actively shape the landscape, particularly by improving the dynamics and structural diversity of flowing waters, by restoring them to their original and natural state, by improving shore and shallow water areas around lakes, and by maintaining and creating connections between wildlife habitats or other valuable ecosystems. In fulfillment of this non-profit foundation purpose, the foundation intends, on the one hand, to initiate, evaluate, and promote corresponding activities and projects. On the other hand, concrete projects are to be realized and financed, which directly fulfill the foundation's purpose. Within the framework of the foundation's purpose, the foundation can also make grants and participate in other companies. The owners of the properties affected by the renaturation are to be sensitized and motivated in the direction of the foundation's purpose. If necessary, the rights to the properties affected by the renaturation are to be acquired. Furthermore, the foundation strives for a sustainable realization of the foundation's goals. The foundation can also transfer the fulfillment of its tasks to other organizations, create such organizations, and promote existing ones. The foundation is free in its choice of means. It has no profit-making purpose, does not pursue commercial purposes, and does not strive for profit.
