The foundation aims to preserve and develop the impact and cultural-historical significance of the Wildegg castle estate, and to secure its value through ongoing maintenance and restoration. The core estate, consisting of Wildegg Castle, courtyard, garden, and the slopes of the castle hill, as well as the adjacent forest on the Kestenberg, is preserved in its original character and maintained in good condition; the construction of buildings and facilities that would obstruct the view of the castle is prohibited. The foundation makes suitable buildings and facilities accessible to the interested public, enables the population to engage with themes related to history and culture through exhibitions and events, and thus contributes to the dissemination of cultural heritage. Historical objects and mementos of the Effinger family are retained as integral components of the castle in the collection, restored and preserved, and are subject to an absolute prohibition on sale.
