Purpose of the foundation: a) Maintenance and proper upkeep, including restoration, of the St. Karl Borromäus chapel, which is exclusively available for the celebration of the Roman Catholic service; b) Furthermore, the residential building and all assets belonging to this property are to be managed and administered in accordance with the principles of foundation law; c) The Catholic traditional heritage and customs handed down by the Offici-Brotherhood of Ursern are to be preserved. This primarily concerns the preparation, design and implementation of the so-called Officianlässe, the joint recitation of the Officium. d) It shall be a concern of the foundation to familiarize the St. Karls-Gesellschaft Ursern, which is organized according to association law, with the principles of the former Offici-Brotherhood, to influence it and to promote the sense of belonging between the two institutions with their different organs.
