The foundation has taken over the assets of the local citizen community of Neu-Lengnau. It undertakes to preserve the religious and cultural values created by its ancestors since 1750 and to make the synagogue in Lengnau AG available to Jewish communities in Switzerland and their families for use for worship, cultural and family events (concerts, weddings, etc.). The synagogue can also be used for cultural purposes. A regulation, which must be adopted by the foundation board and approved by the rabbinate of the Israelite Cultus Community of Zurich, regulates the terms of use. The foundation can enter into all transactions and conclude contracts that are suitable for promoting the purpose of the foundation or that are directly or indirectly related to it, in particular, it can acquire, sell, build, encumber, rent and lease properties to achieve the foundation's purpose.
