Stiftung Wasserland Oberaargau

The foundation aims to make visible and develop the special relationships with water that have always existed in the Oberaargau region, and to raise awareness of them both within and outside the region, to cultivate and, where necessary, restore them, and to further develop them. It also promotes sustainable water management. In doing so, it takes into account that these relationships manifest themselves in terms of natural space, ecology, culture, and economy, are part of the region's identity, and contribute to the identification of its inhabitants with the region. The foundation pursues its goals, taking into account the values associated with these aspects and the specific significance of water for the region. The foundation is independent, neutral, and does not pursue any economic goals or seek to make a profit.
