The purpose of the foundation is to support the non-profit work of the Blue Cross in the canton of Bern with financial resources, specifically by providing contributions, granting loans and other forms of support. Support is granted in particular for youth work, prevention and care, and the training and further education of Blue Cross employees, for the construction and operation of non-profit gastronomy and hotel services, course, holiday, meeting and conference centers, recreation and residential homes, counseling centers, etc., which are managed according to the principles of the Blue Cross and are exempt from taxation. The foundation may acquire or sell real estate to fulfill its purpose. The foundation is non-profit and does not pursue economic goals or strive for material gains.
