The association aims to: Confirm and preserve valuable cultural assets, meditation practices, and ancient languages from the Himalayan region, such as Tibetan, and establish a supportive infrastructure (including a school). Support and train socially disadvantaged children (e.g. orphans) from Sikkim and the Himalayan region. Revive the endangered art of wood construction and train professionals in India with knowledge transfer of Swiss wood construction expertise. The association is exclusively non-profit and does not pursue any commercial or self-help purposes. The organs are active on a voluntary basis. The purpose of the association is realized in particular through the following non-profit activities: Establishing a campus in Dikling, Pakyong (Sikkim/India) with a school, residential building, and wooden temple in cooperation with the local registered non-profit association Loosing Dikling Shadrup Tenpel Chokhorling. Establishing a carpentry workshop connected to the campus in Dikling/Sikkim for the construction of the wooden temple. Offering carpentry training for young people from India and the Himalayan region by Swiss wood construction professionals in the campus carpentry workshop in Dikling/Sikkim. Supplementing carpentry training through carpentry exchange between the vocational school in Brig and carpentry workshops from the Valais region and the campus carpentry workshop in Dikling/Sikkim. Establishing a network to promote sustainable and earthquake-resistant wood construction in Sikkim through the use of local, invasive Japanese cedar (Cryptomeria Japonica). Conducting and supporting instructions and retreats on the campus for participants from home and abroad. Providing accommodation and training for socially disadvantaged children from Sikkim and the Himalayan region on the campus in Dikling/Sikkim.
